Brandon Smith was drafted in 1991 by the Oakland A’s out of Roswell High School in Roswell, GA.

After playing two seasons with their Scottsdale, AZ affiliate, Brandon went on to play with Athlete’s in Action touring The Philippines, China, Canada and the Alaskan Summer League.

Upon his return to the states the NY Mets tendered him a contract to play with their Pittsfield affiliate of the NY/Penn league. During his first season with the Mets, Brandon was promoted to the AAA affiliate in Norfolk, VA. The following spring training Brandon was assigned to the AA Binghamton Mets club.

His final season as a player was with the Richmond Roosters of the (Independent) Frontier League.

During his 6 seasons of professional baseball, Brandon was able to learn from some great baseball coaches Bobby Valentine, Bob Boone, Ron Washington, John Tamargo, Ron Plaza and John Gibbons to name a few. Playing along side Major Leaguers Jason Isringhausen, Preston Wilson, Jay Payton, Paul Byrd and Jerome Burnitz was also a great learning experience.

 Brandon began his personal baseball training business during the fall of 1991 season and has been working with aspiring baseball players, coaches and parents ever since. Developing a training system that players of all levels and abilities can utilize to see great improvements in their game has been the key focus of the system.

Since completing his sport management degree from Kennesaw State University in 1999, Brandon has opened or consulted on six indoor training complexes in different parts of the country ranging in size from 1200 square feet to well over 50,000 square feet.

Individual lessons, summer camps and coaches clinics are all important aspects of his training system.

There are two reasons why Brandon Smith Baseball exists.

The first is to use the game of baseball to glorify God by teaching principles that can be applied in baseball as well as in everyday life. Learning perseverance, patience, accuracy (honesty), preparation and other skills will make ball players better at their sport while at the same time more successful, well rounded individuals.

The next reason Brandon teaches baseball is to forge the worldwide development of baseball. By Staying current and developing the most up to date training techniques Brandon is able to communicate relevant techniques and strategies in a way that players, coaches and parents can understand and apply to their game or coaching.
